About Paul
I work with clients from all backgrounds in a client centred and empathetic manner. My ability is to work with you to help distill what is exactly happening for you and then to get to work on building a foundation to move forward.
My qualifications include a Masters in Counselling from the University of Canberra, as well as specific training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. This allows me to help all types of people, from adolescents to retirees, in dealing with a range of concerns.
The comfortable and non-judgemental environment I’ve created in my practice, along with my calm, down-to-earth and easy-going approach means stress and anxiety will be left at the door, leaving you in a positive mindset to concentrate on tackling those issues currently affecting you.
Before becoming a counsellor and coach, I spent 20 years as a marketing/relationship professional in sponsorship, marketing and communications. I have worked across a number of areas in business, including high performance sport at the Australian Institute of Sport and before that at the Carlton Football Club, along with federal government departments and tech start ups. I am currently an academic tutor in Counselling Skills at the University of Canberra.
